Classy Butterfly

I grew up in the 90s and by the time I was a senior in high school, my favorite things in the world were hot guys and… butterflies! Haha! And when you’re 17 all butterflies are awesome, even hot pink cartoon butterflies. Butterflies remind me of my best friends in high school and all the fun times we’ve had. But as an “adult” I’m finding most butterflies are found only in the kid sections! (Imagine that!) Since I’m pushing 40 and I still love butterflies, It’s harder and harder to find sophisticated items that showcase the lovely creatures!

If you find yourself in a similar situation, then… “You’re Welcome!” Haha! I have filtered through the millions of tacky, teenager-loved butterfly products on amazon and came up with 8, count them 8 pretty dang cute, adult-ish items that I’m gonna share with you now!

Alright, one by one, let’s go…

1. Gorgeous Plate ware

I LOVE this color! But they also come in gray and cream. I can see myself showing up at a potluck with this beautiful serving bowl… everyone would know it was mine! : )

 

2. Classic black & white tablecloth

I love the French writing and the delicate lace on this tablecloth.  I think it looks very classy and would go with any occasion. And the low, low price is surprising!

3. Super soft throw blanket

Everybody loves a comfy throw on a sofa or bed.  Why not “throw” a hint of butterflies in there to remind you of your favorite creature!  Plus, I love that dark blue, it’s more sophisticated.

 

4. Sweet little butterfly clock

K. I love this cute little clock, not only because of the color blue and the natural wood frame, but come on! it’s got a sweet little message on there too!  It would make a perfect addition to an office space, laundry room or bathroom.

 

5. Tall butterfly mug

This 17oz travel mug has more of an abstract butterfly art on it which seems more adult-ish.  Totally cute!

 

 

6. Taxidermy butterflies in case

I love these and I’ve always wanted to have framed butterflies in my house. I think they look very classy.  They are definitely an eye-catcher and a conversation piece.

 

 

7. Jeweled butterfly car ornament

Ok, maybe having dangly jewels in your car is not adult-ish, but if a sophisticated woman did have a car ornament, then this would be the one.  Haha!  I just think they are beautiful when the sun shines through them.

 

 

8. Diamond ring with Butterflies! (Yes!)

Ooooh, so pretty!  Yes, it’s real diamonds and yes, those are butterflies on there!  What’s not classy about a diamond ring?  Even those cute little butterflies look mature and womanly.  And to buy a ring with diamond butterflies on them shows your real dedication to your love of this beautiful creature!  …(little story) 18 years ago, when I was getting engaged, I totally wanted this ring I saw on a calendar.  It had white gold and diamonds, and there was a subtle shape of a butterfly on it!  I told my boyfriend that I would really like that ring, but we couldn’t find it anywhere (pre-internet) It’s ok cuz I still got the man of my dreams and a knock-out ring!
